PROUD FATHER; DEVOTED HUSBAND

Sam was a proud father of four with a son who is a current deployed marine, a devoted husband and one of the most positive people you could possibly meet. After being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer he continued work in landscaping/construction trades to support his family – even though his work was hard on him physically. Sam kept working until the pain was just too much but he always had a smile that lit up the cancer center and lifted his fellow patients’ spirits.

The Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation lifted Sam’s spirits too by helping him and his family with mortgage payments, groceries, and health insurance premiums. He was an eloquent speaker at the Foundation’s 2019 Summer Sip and Savor and always searching for ways he could give back to his community and those who helped him. He sadly passed away in December of 2019.
