Alan is 13 years old. He was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year. He lives with his dad and 15-year-old brother. Alan’s dad is his full-time caretaker and unable to work. The whole family is on this cancer journey with Alan. And, the journey is difficult.

Treatment has taken a toll on Alan. He is often weak, dizzy, and unable to navigate the two-story house they live in without help. For a teenager, this can be isolating. They sought help from the Cancer Foundation after being referred by another local nonprofit helping the family. Even with leveraged funds and resources, their situation remains uncertain.
