Alisha

Alisha was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in June 2024. She spent months going through chemotherapy, bone marrow shots, and eventually a whole hysterectomy. Her young adult son moved back home to help care for her and his two teenage siblings.

Alan

Alan is 13 years old. He was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year. He lives with his dad and 15-year-old brother. Alan’s dad is his full-time caretaker and unable to work.

Bonnie

Bonnie first came to the Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation in May 2024 with her husband Robert. Robert had been battling cancer since March and they were having a hard time making ends meet. For one whole month, they got help with rent, gas, and groceries.

David

During David's fight with cancer, the Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation had the opportunity to contribute to his legacy by paying his rent and electricity. David passed away on November 22, 2019.

Amber

During Amber's treatment, she realized her eight hours of work per week was not enough to cover her employer offered health insurance premiums. The Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation paid those premiums to keep her and her family insured while she was unable to work. Amber is alive and in remission.

Sam

The Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation lifted Sam's spirits by helping him with mortgage payments, groceries, and health insurance premiums. An eloquent speaker at the Foundation's 2019 Summer Sip and Savor, he was always searching for ways to give back to his community and those who helped him. Sadly, Sam passed away in December of 2019.
